August 2015

In PressSeptember 6th, 2015

August was been a busy month for press!

  • On August 30th, 1 Granary interviewed me about the state of fashion in museums and academia.

“Academics are more willing to accept that fashion is a valid topic to study. Fashion people are now more interested in hearing what intellectuals have to say. I think [it’s] become more relaxed.”

  • On August 14th, Artnet News ran a piece asking “Why Are Fashion Blockbusters More Popular Than Art Exhibitions and What Can we do About It?” They spoke to three fashion curators, including myself, to get our perspectives.
  • And on August 8th, CBS news featured a fun slideshow on their website called “Swimwear through the ages” to which I contributed a number of insights.

  • Lastly, if you missed The New York Times piece where they came and visited me in my home, here is the link to the feature in the real estate section from January 2015.
